A Learnership is a structured learning process for gaining theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the workplace such as: repair, maintenance, installation, manufacturing and ultimately design of the mechanical/electrical systems, which will lead to a qualification registered on the NQF.
It is for a duration of 3 years and upon completion, the candidate will become a fully-fledged trade tested and qualified technician in the Air Conditioning Industry with a NQF Level 4.
The framework for each level:
- Assistant Mechanics – NQF level 2. Learner has a basic understanding of equipment and can carry out technical work under supervision.
- Mechanics – NQF Level 3. Learner understands equipment and systems, and can carry out technical work without supervision.
- Artisans – NQF Level 4. Learner has an advanced understanding of systems and equipment and can work without supervision.
- Technical/Project Leaders – NQF Level 5. Learner understands system design, selection and engineering as well as management skills.
- Entry Requirements: Minimum age of 16 years up to the age of 35 years of age
- Duration: 1 year per level minimum. (4 years is the maximum of time for levels 2-4)
- Qualifications: Grade 9 minimum qualification or an NQF Level 1 qualification
- Days: Mondays to Fridays. 08:00 – 15:30
- For more information and training dates: Please contact us
- Pricing: On request.
